Duke Albada, a humanitarian photographer and visual storyteller has been following a group of young men from the Apollo House who have been working together on a variety of programmes through LeaderLife. They have recently stepped up and helped renovate and run the Dubbo Westview Drive In movies during youth week.
Duke has captured this story and her exhibition of photographs showing them at work can be seen in the Sister City Room of the WPCC from 19 April to 19 May 2019.
The Driven Kids project was developed with LeaderLife at Apollo House and showcases how pride and empowerment helps to overcome societal attitudes towards alienated groups.
