CATALYST

Supporting youth for life

LeaderLife’s CATALYST program is aimed at young males aged 12-18 who are at risk of disengaging from education and have had emerging contact with the criminal justice system.

Our program focuses on ‘Creating Access To A Loving Youth Support Team’ by offering young people having a hard time an opportunity to reconnect with education and training, become work ready, find jobs, heal from psychological trauma and pursue positive life pathways. We do this by providing safe, caring adult role models for our young people. And through engaging our youth in diversionary activities, we are able to provide individualised care, links to opportunities and doorways into their community.

CATALYST incorporates our Life Skills program covering weekly topics which are identified by young people as important to supporting them to transition successfully from adolescents to adulthood.

Workshops covered include, applying for Identification documents, the responsibilities of owning a car, cooking on a budget, sexual health, mental health and wellbeing, legal advice, keeping safe online and more.
